2010 Face of America Video

Folks,
The response from the Face of America Bike Ride images I shared last week was overwhelming.  Thanks to everyone for your support and positive comments.  As a result, I decided to put this 6 minute video together. Please sit back, and enjoy.  The video may be viewed in high-Def and Full Screen modes at YouTube here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnIzwsGhaVo

Please feel free to share the video with the world.  Remember it is never to late to make donations to World Team Sports to support future events here:
https://www.worldteamsports.org/donate
In an effort to track contributions stemming from this video, consider making the donation in honor of jnlphotography@gmail.com
Thanks!

Respectfully,
Jon

CFOT WOD Finale - Steck-CON Series

Jerry offered us an opportunity to program a WOD as our going away gift.  Of course this was an honor for us so we obliged.  Here was the pain storm I concocted.  It took me 27:11 to do the Delta version coming off a respiratory cold.  I still think it can be done in under 25 minutes ;-)  (Leslie just asked me to make mention that she had "nothing to do with this insane concoction.")  She just popped an 800mg Vitamin "M" and is heading out the door for the 9:15 class....

Over the 110 mile ride I captured the following images with my Nikon D300 Digital SLR with a 18-200mm VR Nikon Lens and SB600 Nikon Flash.  It was a bunch of gear to carry but the results were worth it.  Please saddle up to the computer with a drink of your choice, put your browser in full screen mode and enjoy the slide show at the links below.

This album contains the BEST of the BEST pictures that I took (133 images).

Normally I shoot events for hire but was happy to donate my services for the second year to cover this amazing ride.  For those that intend to download the images for personal use, all I would ask that you consider making a donation to my teams fund-raising site for the event.  The site will be open for donations until the end of May.  ALL proceeds go right back to World TEAM sports and support other events like this for wounded service members.  Every little bit helps and no donation is too small.

185 lb Clean and Jerk x 7 from X-Fit Sectionals

Here is a picture from the Crossfit Sectionals that I participated in March 27th and March 28th. This was one of seven 185lb clean and jerks I completed in a 3 minute WOD. It was an awesome experience. Virtually ALL of the people in the background are friends of mine from the gym (some also competed in the competition in different heats). My coach, Jerry Hill, is wearing the black Crossfit Oldtown tee shirt. They were great support! JS

Rope climb ready.....

At crossfit, we sometimes wear long socks to protect our shins from
rope burn. This morning we came in and found Luke with these long
socks and a sweat band on. We think he was trying to tell us
today is not going to be a rest day afterall.
His idol Chris SS taught him how to wear the headband.
