Friends and Family (and fellow riders),
This past weekend I participated in the Face of America Bike Ride from Washington DC to Gettysburg PA.  MANY MANY thanks to those of you who supported our team.
Over the 110 mile ride I captured the following images with my Nikon D300 Digital SLR with a 18-200mm VR Nikon Lens and SB600 Nikon Flash.  It was a bunch of gear to carry but the results were worth it.  Please saddle up to the computer with a drink of your choice, put your browser in full screen mode and enjoy the slide show at the links below.

This album contains the BEST of the BEST pictures that I took (133 images).

This album contains the BEST of the BEST pictures from above plus others that really appealed to me (363 images).

This album contains ALL the images I took and is the place to look if you are hunting for pics of someone that did the ride, or just want to see ALL the pics.  This album contains ALL images to include the ones in the two albums above (599 images).

Normally I shoot events for hire but was happy to donate my services for the second year to cover this amazing ride.  For those that intend to download the images for personal use, all I would ask that you consider making a donation to my teams fund-raising site for the event.  The site will be open for donations until the end of May.  ALL proceeds go right back to World TEAM sports and support other events like this for wounded service members.  Every little bit helps and no donation is too small.

Please contact me individually if you intend to publish any of the photos outside of personal use.  For special circumstance I can produce the full resolution images that were simply too large to share online.

If you are interested in the images from last years ride, please see the albums linked below:

Jon, thank you for your incredible support of WTS. Again this year you have captured the essence of FOA for both the many who participated and the many, many more who will saddle up in the future. You represent the best of what this organization is all about.   Jim

185 lb Clean and Jerk x 7 from X-Fit Sectionals

Here is a picture from the Crossfit Sectionals that I participated in March 27th and March 28th. This was one of seven 185lb clean and jerks I completed in a 3 minute WOD. It was an awesome experience. Virtually ALL of the people in the background are friends of mine from the gym (some also competed in the competition in different heats). My coach, Jerry Hill, is wearing the black Crossfit Oldtown tee shirt. They were great support! JS
